Within DARA's revision program, microneedling does not stand alone. Skin that is congested, reactive, or compromised is brought back to function first. That sequence is decided with you at your consultation.
SkinPen is an FDA-cleared microneedling device. Its clearance covers improving the appearance of facial acne scars in adults 22 and older, and improving the appearance of neck wrinkles for Fitzpatrick skin types II through IV. Whether it is right for you is determined at your consultation.
Your first step is a consultation on your skin history and goals. A series of three treatments, spaced weeks apart, is the usual starting point. Spacing is set for you.
Expect visible redness for one to two days after a treatment. Your aftercare protocol is given to you in writing at your visit.
